This weeks job was mainly dodging rain showers 😓. Thankfully the sun came out long enough to refresh this mock Tudor frame house and garage.
Although the British summer is always a challenge, I really do enjoy getting to work outside in the sunshine. Given the current lockdown having outside work has meant I could get back to work sooner.
This weeks job was a kitchen transformation for a first home. The dated, and mismatched, melamine kitchen looked tired and dull so we decided to transform it. Using the ever popular F&B Manor House Grey the units were given a modern look without the need for an expensive kitchen replacement. A fun and fulfilling job from start to finish.
This weeks job definitely was a challenge. What should have been a simple job of stripping old lining paper became a nightmare when the lime plaster came off with it. After a bit of repair work, and some lining paper, it was time to hang the top paper. At 1.5m wide it was definitely a challenge but have to say, the Lewis & Wood design looked stunning once finished.
Not saying I enjoy working on a weekend, but it didn’t take much convincing to tidy the shed up on this beautiful bank holiday...

I have been asked to paint quite a few staircases and it's usually the same request, get rid of the dark brown. For this one I painted the bulk of the woodwork white but stripped the handrail, then waxed with a medium oak to try and match the new hardwood floor...

Towards the end of last year a customer requested I repaint her kitchen. Seeing as the layout was perfect and the cupboards were good quality, this was the most cost effective way of refreshing the kitchen...
